Editorial: Crisis Point

Late last year, RTE was gripped by a major row between Admin and Ops over the cutting of a sim that ultimately resulted in the latter being censured and an uneasy agreement on the way forward.

Events are unfolding that are going to make this look tiny in comparison.

The LOTW strike involving several leaders of the network, including two Admin Directors directly, less fully supported by the SGU Ops Leader and a Vice President, MOTDs being replaced by protest messages and the general disruption of RPing in LOTW, is a crisis for our network of unprecedented proportions.

People have a right to know what is happening and to see the evidence. They should be able to judge for themselves who is right.

I intend to use this blog to allow all sides to express their views. If anyone wishes to post something here, please email me.

AJJE stands at a crossroads. The next month could save it - or destroy it.

Breaking News: Key LOTW members go on strike

Angry about the decision to reverse # Resolution 37 and allow Jamie Chamberlain back into the club, several key LOTW members, including newly re-elected Parliament Leader Ashley Leighton Plom, his wife Deborah and former Parliament Leader Topher Miller, have gone on a leave of absence that will last 29 days, just short of the 30 day limit that would see automatic site removals. They are prepared to return earlier if a deal is reached on this and other matters.

They will either go LOA entirely, or just not post on LOTW ships.

Comments from both sides will follow in due course.
